Then cam along Turbo the Dog (no picture yet) who came on a long hike and guided us through the woods. Much smarter than Kaya who was my old dog, though she was pretty dumb. Turbo learned to retreive in 10 minutes, Kaya 10 months. So Turbo hung out then a few days later in a new town this little dog came along on an afternoon of wine tasting (cheap wine in the park). Panqueque was pretty smart but didn´t compare to Turbo, just a wee bit cuter. So dogs are o.k. again.

However, it was a bit loud (trucks and buses) and the air was pretty bad. But we shall give it a few years and see how it improves. There were beautiful parks and museums to visit, lots of great ethnic foods from around the world, and extremely nice people. I spent about five days there soaking it all in and having a wonderful time. since, I have traveled to meet with my old college buddies Ira and Otter which have been a real joy to spend time with, lots of laughs and good stories, as always.

To the left of this picture was thousands of penguins. I got a bit sick of seeing the penguins on land, they are a bit dirty and get killed by larger birds and eaten alive. You have to love survival of the fittest. They don´t erven help each other out, just walk away. Saw some seals and tons of Ice. All of the people on the boat were wonderful and we all had lots of fun. There were about 70 backpackers and 350 people there just for the trip to Antartica. The few days at sea were a bit rough but no one got too sick. Lots of food, drinks, and laughter. It wasn´t too cold there about 6 C. or 34 F. and it only rained on us a tiny bit. I am now in Buenos Aires and hope to add some more pictures later today or tomorrow. I hope all is well up there.

Fitz Roy, originally uploaded by jdtaylor.

Well we spent four days in Fitz Roy. Got there bought food and whiskey for our trek. We decided to hike about 1.5 hours to see a sunrise the second day we were there, but the night before had a lot of whiskey and threw a stone around (improvised shot put). Jesus made out of masking tape, originally uploaded by jdtaylor.

Well. We got stuck in El Bolson for a few days something that occurs down here frequentlym, but I ran into a head of Jesus. I am currently spending a day too long in Punto Arenas in route to Ushuaia. But this head of Jesus is made out of masking tape. Crazy Argentinian post modern sculptural tooltalitarianism.
